Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope

Support Outdoor Judaism!

Your donation of any amount will help us continue to bring outdoor Judaism to adults and children in Metrowest Boston.

Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope, and our children's program, Y'ladim BaTeva (Children in Nature), are on the cusp of growth as we spread the word about the unique opportunities of Earth-based Judaism and outdoor celebrations and learning that we offer to Metrowest Boston. At the end of this letter, you will find testimonials from our members and goals we intend to achieve with your generous contribution.

This is an amazing opportunity for us to share the word wider in the world, support growth of our children's program, initiate Shabbat programming geared toward 20-30 somethings, and more. Please give whatever you can.

With thanks and appreciation,

Rabbi Katy and the Ma’yan Tikvah Board

You know from your own experience and the experiences of others how unique and special Ma’yan Tikvah is. Here are a few comments to highlight the Ma’yan Tikvah experience.

I am lucky enough to experience my Jewish learning outside in the beautiful sun…and the rain and the cold too. I can’t imagine another way to do this.  --a young student

Super grateful to have worked with the JCRC this morning to get a home set up in Dorchester for some Afghani refugees. It was such a mitzvah! I believe we will have many more opportunities to do this and more and hope to partner with this crew again! -- Jessica L.

Y'ladim BaTeva has provided a wonderful opportunity for my family to connect with other Jewish families, while learning about Judaism and being outdoors. The commitment to social justice, respect for the environment, and acceptance of diverse identities as shared values has been a wonderful model for my kids of the kind of community we all deserve to live in. -- Robyn G.

Falling Leaf sessions lead me into a moment similar to being in midair free fall. In the midst of my thoughts and feelings, I get to sit with what goes through my head and heart, a sifting and sorting out what I need to pay attention to. An array of gentle prompts guides me to pull out what calls to me. Leaving these sessions, I have a fresh outlook, a sense of calm, an appreciation for my life as I am in it. – Carol R.
