Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope

Ma'yan Tikvah's Nature Chaplaincy Program

What is a Nature Chaplain? What do Nature Chaplains do?

   Na
ture chaplains facilitate healing connections between people and the natural world.

Nature chaplains facilitate spiritual healing by holding the pain and suffer of an individual or a group in the context of the natural world.

Nature chaplains facilitate joy by helping to awaken people’s senses to seeing, hearing, smelling, and feeling greater depths of the sacred universe.

Nature chaplains remind people of the sacredness of the created world as they stand in its midst.

Nature chaplains facilitate the opening of hearts and minds to the vastness and the minuteness of the universe.

Nature chaplains honor people's discomfort or unfamiliarity with the natural world.

Nature chaplains facilitate healing by holding the pain and suffering of the Earth.

Nature chaplains may have a background in theology, science, holistic processes, art, music, or other fields.

Nature chaplains hold the individual and collective spiritual and religious traditions of all people to be sacred.

This program is evolving as we grow and learn.  Please share with us your ideas and suggestions for nature chaplaincy work.
